  • Ms. Deanna

    Ms. Deanna has been a dance educator for over thirty five years and J&D Dance Academy was established 25 years ago. Dancing since the age of three, Deanna began her teaching career at the young age of sixteen. She graduated from the “Dance Teachers Club of Boston-Teacher Training Program” in 1994 and has since been on the faculties of many area dance studios teaching ages three to adult, beginners up to advanced dancers. Deanna believes that the balance of structure, discipline and fun as well as the quality of training presented in each class makes J & D Dance Academy of Reading an enjoyable place for both students and their parents. Deanna continues to train and provide fresh new techniques for her students.

  • Ms. Rachel

    Rachel started dancing at the age of two at J&D Dance Academy and trained at various studios in the Boston area. Her dance training allowed her to competitively dance for years, winning regional and national awards as well as perform with professional companies including Dance Prism, Albany Berkshire Ballet and The Reagle Music Theater. She graduated from Merrimack College with a BA in Human Development & Elementary Education and has worked as an elementary school teacher in various towns in Massachusetts. During her time at Merrimack, Rachel was the captain of the Merrimack College Dance Team where she led her team to NDA College Nationals each year. Since graduating, Rachel has taught dance to students of all ages at many studios throughout New England. She has continued to further her professional dance career by being a finalist for both the Celtics Dancers & New England Patriots Cheerleaders and has served as head coach of the Central Catholic High School Dance Team. Rachel is currently the head coach for the Merrimack College Cheerleading Program. Her passion for dance has been evident since a young age and she enjoys sharing that passion with her students. She is excited to be part of the J&D faculty this year and to come back to the place where her love of dance began!

  • Ms. Marissa

    Marisa has been dancing since the age of three and has been a member of the J&D family since the studio first opened over 25 years ago! Marisa's dance teaching career began in high school as she served as an Assistant Teacher for many classes at J&D. She received her certification from the “Dance Teachers Club of Boston-Teacher Training Program” in 2007. Marisa previously taught at J&D for several years. For the past 3.5 years, Marisa lived in Seattle, Washington where she continued her passion for dance taking classes in ballet, tap, and more. Since then, Marisa has moved back to the Boston area and is thrilled to be reunited with her J&D family! She can't wait to dance with all of you again!
